Hindu god statue's head returns to Cambodia
A French museum has returned the head of a 7th Century Hindu statue to Cambodia 130 years after it was taken.The statue, a representation of the Hindu gods Vishnu and Shiva, had its head taken in French colonial times.
It was returned by the Guimet Museum in Paris at Cambodia's request and reattached to the body on Thursday.
A Cambodian culture ministry spokesman said joining the head to the statue felt "like we are reconnecting the soul of our national heritage".
"According to our Khmer culture, the reunion is symbolic of prosperity," Deputy Prime Minister Sok An said at a ceremony in Cambodia's National Museum.
The complete statue had stood in the Phnom Da temple in southern Takeo province before its head was shipped to France in 1886.
Cambodia has not ruled out allowing France to display the complete statue, known as Harihara, in the future.
Over the past few years, Cambodia has sought to return artefacts taken by other countries without permission. In the past three years, several statues were sent back to Cambodia by US museums and a private collector in Norway.
Australia links probed in Jakarta cyanide death case
Indonesian police have asked for Australia to help investigate the case of a woman who died after drinking cyanide-laced coffee.Wayan Mirna Solihin, 27, met with two friends in a Jakarta cafe on January 6.
She collapsed after complaining about her coffee's taste and died a short time later.
Traces of cyanide were found in her coffee and tests confirmed she had been poisoned, but Indonesian officials have not named a suspect.
Ms Solihin's best friend Jessica Kumala ordered the coffee, but has denied any knowledge of the cyanide.
Ms Kumala's lawyer and uncle Yudi Wibowo said a third friend, Hani, had also tried the coffee.
"That means Mirna did not die because of the coffee. Two people drank the same coffee but Hani is alive and well," Mr Wibowo was quoted as saying in the Jakarta Post.
The friends had reportedly studied together in at design colleges and university in Australia.
Australian Federal Police (AFP) confirmed in a statement that they had been asked to investigate the women's links from their time in Sydney and Melbourne.
The statement said the AFP would consider the request but did not make further comment on the case.
Will resolve Madhes agitation if I become NC prez: Deuba
Nepali Congress leader Sher Bahadur Deuba has claimed that the ongoing Madhes agitation and the row over federal state demarcation row will be resolved if he becomes the party president. He went on to say that he has the necessary capabilities to lead the nation and the party simultaneously.
Speaking at the inaugural of a newly constructed building at Sunawal Municipality Development on Friday, leader Deuba said that the nation won’t operate smoothly in a wishy-washy manner.
The NC leader said that he will run the post of party president during the upcoming 13th General Convention to resolve all the problems facing the nation.
Hinting at party Chairman Sushil Koirala, Deuba said the recent political situation has already showed that the nation cannot function at the hands of a weak leader.
“I am ready to provide a capable leadership to the party with a clear vision to strengthen unity and strike a foreign political balance,” he added.

Govt trying to provoke peaceful protest: Mahato
Sadbhawana Party Chairman Rajendra Mahato has said that government is provoking the agitating Madhesi Morcha to turn their peaceful protest into a violent one.
Speaking in a protest assembly organised at Musaharniya in Saptari district on Friday, Chairman Mahato hinted at yesterday’s Rangeli incident and said, “Why should the police open shots targeting to kill the people during Morcha’s peaceful protest? The government is bent on harassing the protesters”
Saying that revision of state demarcation is the bottom-line of Morcha’s demands, leader Mahato said, “The government does not want positive talks, therefore it is killing protesters on the days when decisive talks would be held between the government and Morcha.”
Venting his ire at the human rights activists, leader Mahato said, “Why are the rights activists in Kathmandu staying silent about the killings of Madhesis by police?”
Mahato has headed towards Rangeli from Saptari, it has been learnt.

Morcha leaders refuse to recognise probe panel, Rangeli bazaar remains shut
Rangeli bazaar in Morang remained shut on Friday to protest the killing of three agitators in police firing in Rangeli, Morang on Thursday.
As a result, transportation on the Rangeli-Biratnagar road has come to a halt, while a large number of security forces have been deployed.
Madhesi Morcha leaders dubbed the probe committee that was formed to investigate the Rangeli incident as “pretentious” one. Morcha leaders have refused to recognise the committee formed under the leaders of the ruling parties excluding the Morcha.
Morcha’s Morang coordinator Rajkumar Yadav said, “Would the ruling parties carry out an objective investigation? This is all pretention. We will not accept this committee.”
The agitators were killed in a clash with police that ensued after police stopped SLMM cadres from marching towards the programme venue of Youth Force Nepal, ruling CPN-UML aligned youth wing, where UML senior leaders were scheduled to attend the programme.
Full cylinders will be distributed even without permission: Gas Industry Association
Nepal LP Gas Industry Association Chairman Shiva Prasad Ghimire has said that the association will distribute full cooking gas cylinders to consumers even if government does not permit it.
He said that the distribution of half-filled cooking gas cylinders has increased production cost while it has equally been troublesome to the consumers.
Addressing a programme organised by Reporters Club Nepal on Friday, Ghimire said that the association has already sent a written request to the government towards this end and informed the full cylinders will be sent to the market in few days.
“The distribution of half-filled cylinders has increased the cost of production and transportation,” he said, “If the government agrees bear our extra cost, we will continue with the distribution of half-filled cylinders.”
Also speaking in the programme, Nepal Oil Corporation Spokesperson Mukunda Prasad Ghimire said that the gas distribution will not be eased for now since Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) refused to boost fuel supply. “55 gas bullets are required daily but IOC has been loading not more than 15 gas bullets on a daily basis,” Ghimire said.
Ghimire assured that the distribution of petrol and diesel will be eased within next week.
NC, UML to urge Madhesi Morcha for flelxibility - Post Report, Kathmandu
Big two political parties of Nepal—Nepali Congress and CPN-UML—have concluded that the Madhes agitation will not come to an end at once and decided to urge the agitating Madhesi Morcha to become flexible to end the crisis.
A meeting of the parties held at PM’s official residenc e in Baluwatar on Friday decided to mollify Madhes agitation by amending the constitution. “Some of the valid demands of the Morcha will be addressed through the amendment registered now,” said a source present at the meeting, adding, “Remaining concerns too will be addressed as the agitation will subside slowly.”
According to a leader present at the meeting, both the parties were of opinion that two states in Madhes, as demanded by the agitating Samyukta Loktantrik Madhesi Morcha, is not acceptable under any circumstances.
With intention to conclude the amendment process on Saturday itself, the two parties have formed a taskforce comprising leaders Mahesh Acharya, Bimalendra Nidhi and Minendra Rijal from Nepali Congress and Bhim Rawal, Agni Kharel and Bhanu Bhakta Dhakal from UML to conduct a study on the matter.
The taskforce will investigate as to which amendment will address most of the demands of the Morcha.

As we all know, the Neerja actress had a crush on Salman Khan since childhood. She had revealed on a show how as a four-year-old girl, she coaxed her father to take her to the theatre to watch Maine Pyaar Kiya. When she left the theatre she had the crush of a lifetime on Salman. She had also said that she used to tell her dad to take her on the sets of Salman’s films. The lovely tweet by Sonam shows how life has come a full circle for her.

Though Bigg Boss 9 didn’t live up to our expectations and was plain boring this season, the makers tried a lot of new things during this season to spice up the show. This year a lot of celebrities came to the show to promote their upcoming films, however the plans for the finale will surprise one and all. Katrina Kaif is all set to appear on the popular show during the finale to promote her film, Fitoor which releases on February 12.
But what is surprising is that Salman and Katrina will be seen on Bigg Boss after five years! The ex-couple was last seen on the popular show when Katrina came to promote her film, Tees Maar Khan along with director Farah Khan in 2010. The actress had broken up with Salman and got into a relationship with Ranbir Kapoor just a few months back, when she came on the show and Salman didn’t shy away from making a comment on it.
He had said, “You’ve worked with stars like Akhsay Kumar and Salman Khan, now you have caught Ranbir Kapoor! Will you go even below that?” Katrina Kaif laughed and avoided the question. This time around she will face questions about her break up with Ranbir Kapoor! Will she answer this time around?
Last time both the actors had danced to Chikni Chameli and we hear the two are preparing a special act for us this time around as well. So, the former lovers will be seen dancing together on the Bigg Boss stage after five years.

In an exclusive interaction with BollywoodLife, Sunny spilled beans about her real self which is quite the contrary of her on-screen personality. While many may find hard to believe as the pretty lass comes across as a strong, confident woman but in real life she is really shy. “I relate more to actually Lily Lele from my film Mastizaade and I know it’s hard to believe for everybody. She’s shy, she’s a little clumsy, more conservative and she stutters and I don’t stutter but she stutters. She’s just the complete opposite of her sister. That’s one of the reasons I did say yes to this film. I knew that if we are going to do a film like this then we would be doing very crazy outrageous characters. I think there’s needed to be a balance and I think Lilly balanced me out. One on side you will see this sexy side and on the other there’s Laila whose a lot more cooler.”
When asked who was the shyest one on the sets while filming the sex-comedy, she revealed, “I think it definitely was me over the boys and we ended up doing crazy outrageous things and you know there’s a saying that boys will be boys but they are very sweet and they are very nice, professionals. Everybody was experienced in their own field and they was no one who was new to the movie set, everybody knew what they were needed to do, which then allowed us to have more fun. We work like 18 hours a day because of the schedule but we had so much fun working.”
While Sunny exposed her real self on celluloid for the first time in her forthcoming film, we took the opportunity to ask Daniel if he feels the same without telling him Sunny’s prior answer. Lo and behold he said the SAME thing! “Lilly Lele is my favourite because that’s her, that’s really her! She’s geeky and dorky and that’s her real side. That’s the side that I get to see. Milap exposed the side of her that nobody has seen but I always see this side,” he shared in an exclusive interaction with us.

Hindi films have given us some immortal lines which unwittingly become a perfect analogy for our lives. For example, ishq aur mushq chupaye nahi chupte (It’s difficult to hide love and scent). Our Bollywood celebs have often tried to play the game of hide and seek with the paparazzi trying to shield their love life which hardly paid off. Every now and then they are spotted together and the word gets out. Something similar happened with Arjun Rampal and Sussanne Khan. The two have been denying their alleged affair but was apparently caught recently having some together time at a cafe. And guess what? There was no sign Mehr Jessia anywhere!
According to reports, Arjun and Sussanne entered the cafe when it was empty and took their seats. They were completely engrossed in each other having a great conversation. It was clear that both were enjoying each other’s company. In fact, they were so into each other that they apparently didn’t even realise that the eatery was getting filled by people and they are becoming the cynosure of all eyes. When realisation dawned, they headed for the door swiftly and fled from the place. Someone did try to get a picture of them but they were quicker!
Well, when Sussanne split with her husband Hrithik Roshan in 2013, rumours were abuzz that her husband’s good friend Arjun Rampal is one of the reasons behind it. When we asked Shah Rukh if he would go to wish Salman, he revealed, “Yes, I would love to (go and wish him). 27th right? I would like to visit him if I am here, I don’t know what my busy-ness is that day. Salman and me meet late night, so we will figure out a way to meet each other. Yes, I’ll go wish him for sure! Maybe in the morning before I leave for work.”
When asked what he wishes for his friend Salman, he revealed further, “I wish him health, I wish him happiness. He has wonderful ups in his life and equally, really scary downs also and I hope all of it gets sorted out. When you like someone, when you’ve known someone for so long, all you wish for them is some sort of satisfied happiness, so I wish him that and I wish him good health. I wish he continues to work, the way he does and does some good stuff for us to watch. As a friend that’s all I can wish him, health and happiness.”

Someone called me and I looked up to see Daniel smiling warmly at me and apologizing for the delay. I have to say I was surprised by his humility. He walked me to Sunny and I froze, thankfully for just a fraction of a second. And no, it wasn’t because of her stunning beauty (which BTW is true), but because I saw this petite girl dressed in a pair of denims and fancy red top curling up her nude lips in a sweet smile. She got up to greet me and soon my nervousness vanished leading me into an easy, smooth conversation with Sunny about life in Bollywood, controversies and troubles, dream roles and films, love and romance, and much much more.
And guess what? Her so-called clingy husband sat far away, on another table, all by himself. Not monitoring, not disturbing and not being clingy at all! Whoever bestowed that awful title on Daniel must have been insanely jealous of him! Anyway…
Here’s what I talked about with Sunny ‘Not So Starry’ Leone…
How’s Bollywood treating you?
So far so good! Daniel and I work together most of the time. We’ve had a lot of ups, we’ve had a lot of downs. I’d say more ups than downs, which is a good thing. It hasn’t been easy. To the outside world, when somebody peers into our world, it looks like everything has come so easy, but it hasn’t. It’s been a struggle. There’ve been moments when we definitely get hit hard and then we just bounce back haste fast because we have to keep working.
Which would you say was the worst moment of them all…
Recently with this lady that filed an FIR. It was probably one of the worst moments.
Do you plan on taking any action against this unwanted trouble that comes your way because of your past?
In this country it’s not something that’s easily done. There are no laws protecting different artists and celebrities or people that are in entertainment. There are no laws against defaming, there are no laws against people writing and doing crazy things. So until those laws are in place, there’s not much I can do. I have to just take it. We are working towards coming to some sort of resolution with all this. God-willing that’s going to happen. I’m not here to offend anybody, I’m not here to continue the path that I was on. I’ve come to India to start a new life, to start something that is not a part of my path. I’ve come here to make a new future.
You’ve always maintained that you loved everything about the adult industry. But of late there’s been a sudden change in your statements. Why so?
Because I’ve been forced to! I still love everything about the adult industry but I’ve been forced to say that I’m here to do this (work in Bollywood) because people are so horrible and mean. Not everybody, but there are certain groups, certain sections who seem to have a personal vendetta against me because I’ve hurt them so horribly (laughs sarcastically)… I don’t get it. I have to start clarifying my reason for being here because of those people. And also because the media has made it such a big issue. If the media didn’t recognize my porn star past as a big issue it wouldn’t have become so big.
But in a culture like India’s, your past might still have been a problem even without the media’s help…
It still would have been something I had to deal with but if it wasn’t created into such a huge thing with the media and online circulation then those people would have never gone to that level because all this is being done for publicity.
You’ve said the same thing about Celina Jaitley and Rakhi Sawant’s statements too
My response is pretty much the same every time. I never say anything bad about anybody. And also it is non-sense. So if those two want to be categorized in the same group of people who create non-sense then what am I supposed to do. I can’t call her and say why are you doing this, this is not true or why are you doing all these mean things. They are just doing it for publicity.
Coming to the work front, what’s the update on Mastizaade and Tina and Lolo?
My producers are very secretive. They don’t even give me an update. I know that they’ve been working very hard and hopefully we’ll have an answer soon.
I heard that the films have been shelved…
That’s just something the media started. Nothing’s over yet. It’s (Tina and Lolo) still in the process of being approved and it will be a real shame if it doesn’t because it’s actually a great film and it’s so funny. It’s not as crazy as people think. May be it might be because my outlook of cinema is very different than other people. I don’t take it seriously; it’s all fiction. The great thing is that is you don’t like that kind of content you don’t have to buy a ticket. No body’s forcing you to watch it. I play twin sisters Tina and Lolo and I love both characters.
All you characters so far have always been glamorized. Do you think it’s because of your past or is it that you aren’t ready to leave your comfort zone yet?
There are a lot of movies that I signed a long time ago and they finished all around the same time. So it looks like they are all very very similar. But next few movies that I’m working on are in this very serious drama zone and a few comedies too.
No matter what the story, your films are always marketed around your sexuality, like Ek Paheli Leela had a lot more than just skin show. Are you okay with it or do you not have a say in it?
I don’t really have a say in how they take it forward. Certain things I definitely voice saying that I don’t like this and I won’t promote it, you can do whatever you want… because at the end of the day it is owned by somebody else. So how they showcase something is really upto them. If I don’t like it I don’t promote it.
You said in one of your earlier interviews that you choose films based on scripts. Would the criteria be same if the film starred the Khans, Kumars or Kapoors?
Whenever I’ve watched any of the films of Shah Rukh or Salman, I’ve realised they don’t really make films that are boring. They usually make films that are very very interesting for the most part; a couple of them might not have been so great, but mostly they are. So it works out for the best. But if I were offered a character in one of their films that I didn’t like, I wouldn’t do it. I mean it has to be something I’m comfortable with… A couple of movies that I’ve watched, not theirs, like different movies… I felt like that’s not the zone I want to be in. But yes if an A-List actor wants me to do a cameo I’d say yes and if they asked how much I wanted, I’d say absolutely nothing! You know at that point it’s only about working with people you’ve admired for so many years. It’s the same thing as in the US, if Leonardo Dicaprio’s camp asked me if I wanted to do a cameo in his film I wouldn’t ask for money. I would do it because I’ve been dying to work with him.
So far, all your films have been centered around you, but if you sign a film with one of the A-Listers, aren’t you worried that the focus would shift?
If I were being side-zoned by Mr Salman Khan, I don’t care. It would be fine, even Shah Rukh. It’s not that I want a film to be all about me, I just want to make a good product.
Daniel too is making his Bollywood debut with Dangerous Husn. Can we expect to see you two pair up onscreen?
I actually want to make a film with Daniel. It’s all about finding the perfect script that captures his personality and mine and the chemistry we have. So it has to have these elements in the movie that really capture who we are naturally. I don’t know if I’m making sense… Like if I ever think of a movie that Daniel and I could have been in, it is Mr and Mrs Smith. Even though it’s an action movie, I almost feel like some of the scenes that these two have are actually how they are in real life because they are so natural.
How would you define your personality and Daniel’s in one word?
It’s very difficult to define Daniel in one word!

Daniel is extremely grounded; he is extremely smart when it comes to business – handling the company, handling my career and his own. He’s very very organized and he’s very sharp. And something that people don’t know about him is that he’s very silly. He’ll never show you, you’ll probably never see that side of him; but I’m the lucky one and I get to see that every day. I see a different Daniel from what people see – a loving, caring one who makes me laugh all day long. He’s very supportive.
When it comes to my personality, people visualize and think that I’m exactly how they see on TV or what people try to portray me as. But if they spent 5 minutes with me they would know that I’m very goofy, I’m a little clumsy, I’m very determined when it comes to my job. I’d rather be working every single day than take a vacation. I work a lot.
Is Daniel a workaholic too?
Oh yes! We are both workaholics, but we spend some amazing time together. Every single morning we make breakfast together and we sit and we eat together. We talk about anything and everything. And it’s very rare that we have an argument (let me knock wood here so we don’t have a fight later). Obviously we disagree like any normal couple but we talk it through and reach a compromise. It’s never my way or the highway… that doesn’t work in a relationship. So it’s all about give and take.
From what you’re saying, your idea of romance sounds very different from the Spiltsvilla idea of romance…
Well Spiltsvilla is a very teenage, early 20s kind of romance. We all know what kind of mental state we were in when we were 19 or 20 and what we are in now which is may be 5 years or 10 years or even 15 years later. The decisions we make in our teens and early 20s are all based on our hormones (laughs). There can’t be anybody older than 25-30 who can disagree with this because that’s just the way it is. Those dolphins that we have in our tummies when we meet someone for the first time, it dictates a very irrational decision. Spiltsvilla is very young love… We put the couples in different situations that challenge them mentally and physically.
But a lot of your challenges objectify both men and women…
Well when you watch any reality show whether it’s in India, whether it’s in the US, whether it’s anywhere, part of the lure of watching is seeing things and doing things that you would never do in real life. May be that’s what the youth wants; they want to be hot and good looking. It might seem like objectification to the older group but not to them… they’re the ones doing it, we dint force them to do anything. Like the theme this season is ‘what women want, what women love,’ so I would remind these girls, and so would Ranvijay, that if you don’t want to do something, you need to speak up. And we’ll never force anybody to do something they don’t want to. The boys just did whatever they wanted any way, but for the girls on the show, we did emphasize that if they are uncomfortable, they need to speak up.
Any particular role or reality show or TV show you want to take up?
I really always wanted to play a superwoman. I know actors often say that they want to play this serious role or that serious role and make this type of art film… I just want to make entertaining cinema and I want to have fun doing it. And I always wanted to be a superhero, since I was a little kid.
And what would your super power be?
I would definitely want some sort of flying and some sort of super strength to be able to move things out of my way… I don’t know if I’ll ever get to do it, but yes that’s something that interests me.
You once said that your parents were very religious and that you visited the temple every weekend as a child. Do you still?
As a kid I went to the Gurudwara every weekend and my brother and I were forced to do kirtan. Now I realize that it was a good thing. In fact, Daniel and I had a Punjabi wedding; we got married in a Gurudwara. Since both my parents had passed away, it was very important to me that even though they are not here, the tradition got carried forward.
You say you’re a big fan of Priyanka Chopra and Aishwarya Rai and that you’d be starstruck on seeing them. But now that you’ve achieved so much, would you still?
Oh my gosh, yes! I so haven’t met them and I so want to meet them.

So Tiger Shroff is definitely upping his game by posing in shirtless pictures with a hairdo that could kill. Let’s not even go to the number of abs he’s sporting in that frame, it’s so good that it should not be legal.

His attention to detail is clear in the way he moves so gracefully and naturally through the air. And, his postures are unbeatable.”
The actor was present for his sister’s birthday bash and going by his demenour we can say that he stole the limelight from pretty Krishna. She celebrated it with her family and boyfriend Spenser Johnson. On work front Tiger is shooting for Baaghi co-starring Shraddha Kapoor. While talking about the film in past he has said, “Baaghi is going to be something extra special, something extra-ordinary. For everyone who loved Heropanti, I just have to tell them one thing. Just wait for Baaghi to come.” Well, we certainly have high expectations from you Tiger. Also there is much speculation about the fresh pairing of Tiger and Shraddha. It would be certainly interesting to watch these two actors together.

I’m sure most of us at first assumed Mandana would just remain as a mere attraction on the show, given that she is so sexy AND is a firang import. But boy, what a challenger! Despite not knowing Hindi, despite being the most hated person in the house, Mandana made sure she stays strong no matter what worse hits her! Yes I agree there were times when we judged her for being framed and even today we have our doubts placed whether Salman is favoring her or let’s say if the channel is favoring her. But having said that, can we claim her to be a weak performer? Think about it..

A wild card like a winner- now that’s Rishabh Sinha for you! This guy has had his fall outs with almost everyone inside the house, but that in return has only made him a lot more stronger. He has evolved as an individual and is the only wild card, challenging the finalists right now. No fake relationships, no fake strategies- just rebel and there he is- getting closer to the finale with every passing day. Well played, boy!
Prince Narula
As his name suggests, Prince continues to lead the game. He already holds a record of winning reality shows like Roadies and Splitsvilla. But will his winning legacy continue with Bigg Boss too? Well, considering his massive popularity, he is quite likely to win this show. In fact, his attitude is so much like a replica of last season BB8 winner, Gautam Gulati. Her strategy is simple – Love Keith and the rest explains. No seriously! It’s sad but Rochelle’s identity has only been restricted to Keith. She did try breaking that perception, when Keith was away for a while but as soon as he returned again on the show, Rochelle was back to her ‘nagging girlfriend’ self. Some may find it cute but many may find it irritating. Will love make her win?

What goes for Rochelle, same applies for Keith too. It’s okay to be in love and to spend time with your loved one, but not all the time right? Wedding Bells: Comedian Bharti Singh to tie the knot with boyfriend Harsh Limbachiyaa by end of 2016
The talented lady wants to cut down on work after marriage
A girl with a sense of humour can win many hearts. Comedian Bharti Singh of Comedy Nights Bachao and host of other shows has done so with elan. However, next year, she plans to devote more time to her would-be husband and family. Yes, the lady has plans to tie the knot next year with beau Harsh Limbachiyaa, who is the well-known writer of comedy shows on TV. As per industry folks, the two are already engaged and he has gifted a diamond ring to her as well.
The lady told a leading portal that she hoped to get married by the end of 2016. Talking about her dream man, she was quoted as saying, “Since my profession is to make people laugh, usually people assume that whatever I speak, it is meant for a joke. But that’s not true. When it comes to choosing a life partner, I want him to understand me. He should be a quiet personality with full of maturity. In reality I speak a lot, so I want him to listen to me very carefully and love me a lot.”
Further on, she talked about the homemaker in her. “Like every other girl, I too have a dream of getting married. In fact, my parents want me to marry as soon as possible. However, I am planning to get settled at the end of 2016. Honestly, even I want to see myself as a typical housewife who is making chapattis for her children. I want to lead a normal life after marriage,” she said.
The lady said everything was decided by destiny but she would preferably give more time to home and family after marriage. “I want to do less work and be more of a housewife marriage,” she concluded.
While stories of these two being in love has been doing the rounds since quite some time, it’s the first time any of them have opened up about their relationship.
